This wedding was beautiful.
The day started out gloomy. Winds picked up fast. Family members hustled around the house and backyard, hurrying to put everything together before the ceremony. Danielle stayed relatively calm, considering the black clouds moving in, while Josh was finishing up a game of golf with his groomsmen. The ceremony was delivered beautifully, and we even had a good 10 minutes to squeeze in some formal bride and groom portraits before the rain started. After waiting for a while for the rain to die down, everyone huddled under tents, Danielle said "You know what? Let's just take the pictures anyway." So we finished the family portraits with the sun peeking through the clouds, and droplets of rain gathering on everyone's heads. But looking at the pictures, other than the hints of drops around them, you wouldn't know it was freezing and wet.
The reception ended with Danielle's grandfather making a surprise and very unexpected appearance. There wasn't a dry eye in the house.
