The Utah Stealth 2013

My amazing brother Sam doing what he does best.

The Importance of Winding Down

Sometimes we forget how important it is to take a break from our busy lives.
Not just the physical work, but the mental/emotional part of it, as well.

Often times, even when I'm not at work or editing photos, I'm still researching photography, pinning ideas, getting down on myself for not blogging . . . basically thinking about my business all to often.
It's not like I'm working 24/7, but I do think about photography and business way more than I'd like to.
I feel like I miss out on the quiet moments in life, like really enjoying them, apart from my phone/iPad/computer.

Today, I decided to take a coffee break, sit on my bedroom floor next to my window, leave my phone and my iPad across the room, and just think about the many things I enjoy in my life, unrelated to photography, work, etc.

I'll be taking a break the next day or two.  Granted, I will hopefully be taking pictures, but pictures for myself. No photo shoots/editing in the works.

Pretty excited.
