. . . let's pretend we are seated outside a lovely cafe in paris, and it's warm out, but not too warm. there's a slight, refreshing breeze. you have no where to be, and you have your favorite book, or a sketch pad with you. you're not bothering too much to focus on your reading/sketching; you're watching people, and taking in the view, and really experiencing how nice the day is . . . appreciating life just as it is right now. you're not worried about what's going to happen this summer, next month, tomorrow, or even tonight. you're just appreciating that you don't have to do anything at the moment. you have a yummy drink, and a small plate of cheese and bread to keep you company. you have time to breathe.
pefect days for me involve NOT thinking. just being. last sunday was this for me. i slept in, took a long bath, took my time getting ready . . . i was in no hurry for anything. i did some reading on the internet from my laptop while in my comfy bed, then i went to jeremy's house. he went with me to walmart because i wanted to buy yarn and knitting stuff. (oh yeah! i started knitting!) i just sat on his bed, trying to knit, while he researched things on his computer. it was raining outside and he had nice music going. it was the first sunday in a long time where i didn't just sit and stress about having to start another week of work the next day. i just wanted to experience the current moments, rather than worry about anything. at all.
after an hour or two of trying to knit, jeremy made us some ramen noodles with hot peppers (mmmmmm), then we watched a movie. it was pretty much perfect. i wish every day was that peaceful.
Nice...........I usually try to imagine being anywhere other than at work. Your day sounds lovely!
